According to Mickey Bagge, the clubs 'clerk of works', we the "the best green for miles". Now it is time to put our green to rest for the winter and make sure its ready for 2018. That means scarifying the surface and dressing the green with sand in preparation for next summer. Throughout  the playing season our groundsmen cut the green three times a week as well as trimming the edges and feeding the grass to make it look and play as well as possible.

Other work on the green surrounds and hedges is done by Mickey and club members, he also has to fill in the holes dug by crows, magpies and foxes doing what they do! Unfortunately he sometimes has to repair damage caused by people playing football or other games on the green too.

Anyway thanks to Mickey and let's look forward to another good green for next season
